In the process of painting a portrait of my mother. Under painting is complete, and now I'm in the process of building up volume with oils.
Slightly tweaked this piece. It needed some love.
Olympia, mother of Alexander the Great, was never spoken of unless it involved describing her heartless, cruel actions.  The only compliment given to her in history was that she was beautiful.  She was rumored to have slept with a large serpent to remove and protect her from evil spirits.
